Marlene Henrietta (Felhofer) Sibilsky, age 93, passed away peacefully on February 1 at her home, Autumn’s Journey Assisted Living, in Algoma, WI. Marlene was born on January 2, 1933, to Matilda and Henry Felhofer in Sevastopol, WI, and was baptized on February 26, 1933.
A 1951 graduate of Sevastopol High School, Marlene married the love of her life, the late Rufus Sibilsky, on June 6, 1959, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Valmy. After their marriage, Rufus and Marlene moved to Algoma, where they became lifelong members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Devoting her life to caring for her family, Marlene took great joy in being a full-time homemaker, lovingly raising her children. After Marlene began caring for other children through her in-home daycae, where she cared for countless children, including her grandson.
Marlene cherished the time spent with family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing cards, often sheepshead, kings corners, or Skip-Bo, with her dear neighbors, the Blazkovec family, as well as her many family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and canning.
Marlene is survived by her children, Robert Sibilsky of Algoma; Kevin (Janice) Sibilsky of Luxemburg; and Linda (Barry) Fenendael of Algoma; her grandson, Quin Fenendael; two step‑grandchildren, Bryan (Liz) Anderson and Bradley (Andrea) Anderson; four step-great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lillian, Temperence, and Lainey; her nieces Karen (Chris) Van Lanen, Geraldine (Gerri) Lewis, and Roxanne (Harry) Zastrow; her nephew, Russell (special friend, Lisa) Sibilsky; Denise Harmann; and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sister Dorothy Harmann-Ash; her brother Russel Felhofer; sister-in-law Edna Sibilsky; brothers-in-law Roland (Luella) Sibilsky, Glenn Harmann, and Virgil Ash; nephews Bruce Sibilsky and Gary Harmann; and Farrell Lewis.
Family and friends will gather, Thursday, February 5th, 2026, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Algoma, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Moll and Rev. Joel McKenney officiating. Burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
