Barbara "Barb" Ann (Sogge) Rouse Gigot

Barbara "Barb" Ann (Sogge) Rouse Gigot, 86, Algoma, passed away peacefully at home, January 22, 2026.  She was born July 5, 1939, in Milwaukee to Edward and Mary (Newth) Sogge.

Barb was very proud that she was able to go back to school and get her diploma.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and friend.  Barb would give you the shirt off her back to anyone.  She always had a kind word to say about everyone.  She enjoyed her precious time with all of her family.  She was an avid watcher of the Packer's and Brewer's.
Barb loved her Lord and Savior and enjoyed visiting the Shrine.  She loved to travel with her good friends, Nancy Zimmerman and JoAnn Van Eggeren.  

Barb is survived by her children Debbie Graf, Keith Rouse and Kim Rouse; 12 grandchildren Lori (Chad) Nellis, Jamie (Matt) Nelson, Robert (Becky) Graf, Carrie (Danny) Braun, Travis (Kim) Major, Katie (Casey) Major-Warning, Kayla Major, Alex (Rani) Smet, Ashlynn (James) Hyder, Brittany (Todd) Tahlier, Chelsea (Michael) Johnson and Avery Vanderwegen; 13 great grandchildren Aubrey and Jadyn Nellis, Crosby and Gracie Graf, Emily and Teagan Nelson, Beckham and Niya Braun, Wilder Warning and Jack Major, McKenna and Madelyn Tahlier and Jaysie Johnson; one son-in-law Hank Peterson, and one brother Edward Sogge; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton, daughter Cindy Peterson, son-in-law Dick Graf and granddaughter Marlena Skinkis.

A special thank you to Bettie Anschutz for all her support and love and to Unity Hospice and staff for all their kindness and care given to our mom.

A private memorial gathering and Mass will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Algoma, with Fr. Timothy Machila officiating.
